Student Affairs

Promotes the purposes of the University, aimed at excellence in learning and research, by way of diffusion of knowledge through quality publications, as well as the preservation of all available information related to the history, establishment and development of the University. Performs the following functions / responsibilities: Editing/Publishing of Prospectuses, Annual Report, NUSTNEWS, The NUSTIAN, Supplements, Ads, Journals, Pamphlets/ Brochures, Posters etc; Coordination of functions/ programs and financial/administrative facilitation of 14 Central Clubs & Societies; Management of Central Library and issues pertaining to funds, procurement of library books/ journals etc. for libraries of all the University institutions, and to keep liaison with HEC Digital Library and outside agencies regarding library matters; Digital and documentary archiving; Coordination/ administration of Student Centre; Coverage of NUST events/ functions in terms of news reporting/press releases; Keeps liaison with HEC Publications Directorate for coverage of the University news in News & Views (a monthly newsletter of HEC) Photo coverage of events at all institutions at H-12 and major functions at Rawalpindi Campuses; Deals with discipline matters of students; Maintenance of accounts/ funds under the head of extra-curricular activities and approval/ disbursements to the Club/ Societies. A sub-office called Marketing & Communications Office (MCO) is responsible for integrated marketing communications of NUST, development of marketing strategies, design of primary University marketing collateral and acting as custodian of NUST Identity (brand guidelines).
