DSS Lab

The Decision Support Systems (DSS) Lab at the Department of Engineering Management (DEM), NUST CoE&ME, is a specialized facility designed to equip postgraduate students with cutting-edge tools and software essential for modern engineering management practices. The lab provides hands-on experience in data analysis, decision-making, and simulation techniques through industry-standard software applications. Students utilize the facility for practice, examinations, thesis research, and project work, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.

A key feature of the DSS Lab is its simulation-based graded exercises, where students analyze datasets related to production, quality, costing, planning, and scheduling to develop informed decision-making strategies. These exercises bridge the gap between academia and industry, preparing students for professional roles that require data-driven problem-solving skills. Additionally, the lab houses a comprehensive repository of research theses, offering valuable reference material for prospective researchers. By integrating technology with practical learning, the DSS Lab enhances the research and professional competencies of engineering management students, fostering a strong foundation for industry and academia alike.
