An amalgam of engineering skills with business acumen creates an amazing body of knowledge known as Engineering Management that aims to bridge the gap between, and cater for the shortcomings of the relevant individual fields.
The Department of Engineering Management in CEME, NUST was established in 2006, with a vision to assist engineers who wish to develop management insight in order to efficiently fill responsible leadership roles in technically sophisticated organizations. So far, the department has set the stage for 322 MS and 16 PhD graduates to rise as successful leaders in various fields of engineering organizations. Many of the alumni have also chosen recognized institutions worldwide to further their education. The department is dedicated to support students in conducting quality research in the field of Engineering Management, and directing their efforts towards positive social impact.
Engineering managers may work in areas including Project management, Quality Engineering, Sustainability in EM, Operations Research, Accounting and Financial Management, Supply Chain Management and many other similar avenues with focus on business finesse.
