Computational Mechanics
The Computational Mechanics Research Group is striving to apply cutting-edge efficient numerical techniques to address modern engineering problems in the field of fluid mechanics, renewable energies and solid mechanics to support greener, cost-effective and reliable solutions. Our research is centered on conducting accurate analysis using high-fidelity, high-performance numerical solvers with a strong focus to strive for energy efficient, structurally robust and eco-friendly designs. Main emphasis of research is towards CFD investigation of various engineering problems, fracture analysis and vibrational analysis for different structures using FEA, design of energy-efficient buildings and thermal performance optimization of semi-conductor devices. The main research areas are aerodynamic characteristics optimization of various turbomachinery applications, numerical modelling of various types of thermal systems, characterization of heat transfer in semi-conductor devices at nanoscales. Our expertise extends to CFD analysis, FEA, thermal analysis, modal analysis.
